Current in Scripture: Today is Christ the King Sunday! Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be King of the Universe. Christ’s example of Kingship is one of serving.  In our own lives we must serve like Christ served God and others. The things of this world may pass away but Jesus Christ’s Kingship will always live. The lives that we have are for the glory and honor of Jesus Christ. We serve for the love and compassion of God and others.

Current in Our Parish: Through the month of November we have been praying for and remembering all our loved ones who have gone before us. As November ends our prayers must be greater, to lift up those who lost loved ones. Keep praying for those who continue to grieve asking for God’s comfort and strength.  Happy New Year! The new liturgical year begins next weekend along with Advent. As we begin to prepare for the coming of Christ, it is a time of preparing our hearts and minds and making room for God. To begin Advent and a new liturgical year let us keep one another in prayer so that we are focused on the coming of Jesus at Christmas.

Prepare your hearts for Christ’s coming!
Peace, Fr. Tony
