Children’s-Liturgy-of-the-Word (CLOW) will be at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on most Sundays of a given month. After the Opening Prayer, children and trained facilitators will receive a special blessing and be dismissed to the CLOW Prayer Room where the children will hear the exact same readings that the adults hear in the Church, but these readings will be from the approved Children’s Lectionary. The facilitators, through questions and answers, discussion, input or activity will offer a “lesson” to the children as the adults in the Church listen to Father’s homily. After praying the Creed and Petitions, the children will return to the Church as the General Intercessions are finishing in the Church with the adults. CLOW will be focused on all parish children (school, faith formation or home-school children) in grades K-3.
