Rise Detroit 2020 is the first-ever gathering of high school-aged youth (grades 9 through 12) in the spirit of Unleash the Gospel. Teens will engage in meaningful worship, hear from dynamic speakers, collaborate in workshops and  small groups, and participate in the sacraments.

SPEAKERS:

Dr. Bob Rice will give two keynote addresses, “You Have Been Named” and “Called to Be Saints.” He is an internationally known speaker, acclaimed musician, and innovative writer. He is a Professor of Catechetics and the Director of the Master of Arts in Catechetics and Evangelization at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

The Culture Project will lead two workshops, “Called to Be …” and “Son of God/Daughter of God.” The Culture Project is an initiative of young people set out to restore culture through the experience of virtue. They proclaim the dignity of the human person and the richness of living sexual integrity, inviting our culture to become fully alive.

Fr. Stephen Pullis will present the closing session “Calling on the Name of Jesus” and lead Adoration. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit in 2011 and has served in parish ministry, as the Archbishop’s priest-secretary, and most recently as Director of the Department of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship. He is a weekend associate at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Shelby Township.

The $20 early registration deadline is Friday, February 28 and includes admission, bus transportation, event t-shirt, and lunch/dinner. After this time, registration is $35 and may not include an event t-shirt (based on availability).
