Dates & Times for Reconciliation
Here at Guardian Angels the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated every Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm or by appointment. Communal celebrations of the sacrament are celebrated through the vicariate during the Advent and Lenten seasons. The places, dates, and times of these communal celebrations will be announced at Mass as well as being listed in the parish bulletin.
Formation for First Reconciliation
Formation and reception for First Reconciliation occurs before the reception of First Eucharist. Sacramental preparation for the sacrament usually takes place when the child is around 7 years of age. If you want more information about preparing your child for First Reconciliation, please contact:

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (also known by other names such as Penance or Confession), is a sacrament of healing. It is the sacrament through which our post-baptismal sins are forgiven. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Jesus, acting through his ordained minister, the priest, forgives sins and bestows grace on his disciples.
Reconciliation in the Sacred Scriptures
“Peace be with you…As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’ And when he said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
Gospel of John 20:19-23
“While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.. His son said to him, ’Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’ But his father ordered his servants, ’Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.”’
Gospel of Luke 15:20-24
“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.”
James 5:16
