Stephen Turk

Proud to have been born and raised in Detroit, Mr. Turk is a product of Catholic Schools having attended and graduated from St. Gregory Catholic School and the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. Mr. Turk received his Bachelor in Science in Education from WSU and a Master in Science in Educational Leadership from Madonna University in May of 2014. Having seventeen years of experience in education, Mr. Turk has eight years in the classroom, two years as a Dean of Students, and seven years as Principal of a Detroit Charter School. A devout Catholic, Mr. Turk attends St. Moses the Black Church where he volunteers extensively both on the Parish Council and the Evangelization, Beautification, and Stewardship Commissions. In his free time, this father of four enjoys spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren as well as training for and running marathons. Excited about being the Principal at Guardian Angels Catholic School, Mr. Turk has noted, “Working in collaboration with all our staff members, I look forward to GA becoming an even brighter star”.
