“Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ.”
-St. Jerome
Guardian Angels offers multiple Bible studies throughout the year to allow us to encounter Christ more fully so we may know Him, love Him, and proclaim Him. See below for the available Bible Study for adults and other resources to immerse yourself in the living Word of God.
This year we will be spending both the fall and spring bible study sessions going over the Gospel of Luke. Because it is the longest of the four Gospels, we will get to know Luke in two parts, starting with Luke 1-11. The timing for the study is ideal, since the Gospel of Luke will be the Gospel we hear at Mass beginning in Advent. While Luke was not one of the Apostles or early disciples of Jesus, he was a missionary alongside St. Paul, a Gentile Christian, the author of the Book of Acts, and a doctor! Luke wrote his gospel for all Gentiles seeking to understand God’s universal plan of salvation in Jesus, the Savior of all people. All are welcome!
Our Fall Bible Study will be on Mondays at 7pm from September 23 to October 28!
To register, please contact the parish office to sign up with your name and email. The cost is $10. If you have any specific questions regarding the study, please contact Tim McCormick at mccormick@bishopfoley.org.

The Importance of the Sacred Scriptures
“When I found your words, I devoured them; they became my joy and the happiness of my heart because I bore your name, O Lord, God of Hosts.”
Jeremiah 15:16
“And for this reason, we too give thanks to God unceasingly, that, in receiving the word of God from hearing us, you received not a human word but, as it truly is, the word of God, which is now at work in who you believe.”
1 Thessalonians 2:13
“My son, to my words be attentive, to my sayings incline your ear.”
Proverbs 4:20
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
